Storytelling

Harness the power of your ecosystem's story

“The job of the moral leader—which is the job of all of us—is to learn to tell the stories that matter, stories that unite and inspire, reinforcing our individual and collective potential, and paint a picture of the future that we can build and inhabit together. Stories that matter are not stories that demean, deride, divide, ridicule, belittle, blame, or shame. We must take the harder path of telling stories that hold our truths, both the ugly and the beautiful, while remaining laser-focused on the possible.”

Ecosystems for Change

On Ecosystems for Change, I talk to practitioners about their working to transform their communities by taking an ecosystem approach to change. Find out what tools and tactics they use to amplify the impact of entrepreneurs and changemakers in their communities. And find out what gets them out of bed in the morning.

Join us as we co-author the playbook on transforming communities through ecosystem building!

Unsung Heroes of Ecosystem Building

Unsung Heroes of Ecosystem Building is a storytelling campaign that I was fortunate to run over the course of 2020 in collaboration with Jeff Bennett and Jessica Edwards to raise the profile of entrepreneurial ecosystem builders around the United States.

We interviewed over 40 ecosystem builders to tell stories about what drives to do this work, what frustrations and challenges they experience, what skills we need to invest in and what needs to happen to advance the field of entrepreneurial ecosystem building.

Zebras in the Wild

As founding member and lead storyteller at Zebras Unite, I had the unique opportunity and absolute pleasure to take readers on a journey around the world to meet founding members, chapter leads, co-op members and allies of the growing Zebras Unite movement! I talked to founders, entrepreneurship supporters and ecosystem builders about how they’re challenging the status quo in their communities, how they envision the future and how we can support them in their mission.

In 2021, I launched the series Zebras in the Wild to share these conversations via Social Venturers and Zebras Unite's Medium channel!

Tell stories that matter

I work with national partners to tell the stories of their ecosystems. Through blogs, newsletters, social media, thought leadership and podcast seasons, I work hand-in-hand with your ecosystem to:

  • Identify a narrative that will activate your ecosystem
  • Find stories oh hope and optimism that compels your audience to take action.
  • Find role models and tell their stories.

What people say about me

Anika is a storytelling expert. It's very easy for her to create intriguing narratives that talk about what we do, and present them in a way that's digestible for anyone, personable and in a great conversational tone.
